Life Treasury installed its first Cathedral Library of Life in 2019 in Blackburn Cathedral. The bookcase is placed within their existing columbarium in the Cathedral. Each bookcase is designed to suit the surroundings in terms of size, material and style, and to comply with any specifications of the Fabric Advisory Committee. The solid oak bookcase is also filled with book facades so it appears uniform at all times.

The installation went smoothly and to plan, and both Blackburn Cathedral and Life Treasury are working with local funeral directors in order to ensure families are given the opportunity to place the ashes of their loved ones in such a meaningful environment.
